Girl are you for real cornrowing your OWN hair? If so, I am in awe. What tips do you have, if any, for someone like me as I SUCK at braiding my own hair.
HELP!!!!

PS Love your hair! You're a doll. :)

Your skilz are awesome, girl! I just figured out how to realllly cornrow, and I spent all night doing my hair. This was the first time in my life ever cornrowing my whole head, and I added extensions to the ends too. It looks really nice in the front, but I've got to do the back over again, because the parts are kind of crazy. Still-- after my experience, I have a better understanding of the kind of skills you have to do to get your type of results with the cornrowing. Keep up the good work! You look great!

Faith

Thank you Faith!!! I have a little tip for your parting woes. I used to section off all of my parts prior to braiding and secure them with tiny black rubber bands. Before braiding, I would check the mirror, make necessary changes, secure with rubberbands and piece by piece, go to town!!!

Hi. This is your hair correct? I ask only because I would like to try this style. My hair is about 6 inches in length. Do you think this is enough for this style?

Adrienne

Adrienne, that is my own hair in the pic. My hair is about 12-15 inches, but it is thinnish. The only part that you may not be able to duplicate with six inches is the "crown". BUT, if you have thick hair, you should be fine. Good luck and thanks for stopping by. :)

I love your hair-I swear I have GOT to learn hw to cornrow!!

Gin-If you can braid or plait, you can cornrow. It just takes practice. Thank you for the compliment! :)

The transition is not complete until you have learned to love your naps...
